In 1967 the Kontax visited a studio in Bedfordshire to record two tracks that were pressed up on a very limited run of vinyl 45s, on Luton's Summit Recordings label. The single is so rare that only a couple of copies are known to have ever surfaced in collector's circles, and the band themselves unfortunately remain annoyingly obscure. The recordings have never been compiled and Top Sounds have produced a facsimile of this prestigious record so it can finally achieve wider recognition, which is housed in a period style company sleeve. 'Near Me' is a superb atmospheric beater with a late Mod flavour which salutes somewhat the Association's 'Along Comes Mary', whilst 'Hold On I'm Coming' is a raucous and thunderous cover of the Sam and Dave favourite which wouldn't have sounded out of place on the flip side of the Mickey Finn's 'Garden Of My Mind'.
